10 Week Program – $120 

Balanced Body Pilates is a personalised, small group exercise program for mums of children of all ages. We have two options – Monday evenings (without baby) or Thursday mornings (with baby).  Our baby friendly 10 week course at Hope Island will allow you to start your day with an energising, realigning, strengthening power hour. It’s a chance for you and baby to get out of the house, and focus on your mind, body and soul.  Our evening sessions give you a ‘baby free’ chance to focus on yourself to create a healthy mind, body and soul. Each session will target the physiological effects and weaknesses caused by pregnancy and childbirth. Our focus is to help you regain and/or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels through safe and effective Pilates techniques.

What is Balanced Body?

It’s a total body workout that uses Pilates methods to work your core as you incorporate toning exercises of the extremities. It’s a non-impact class done on a mat, teaching you how to engage and improve your pelvic floor function and deep core muscles. Spinal alignment and strength and tone is a big focus in this class to help you regain optimal posture and function.

What is a typical class?

You won’t need to bring any special equipment and you don’t need any Pilates experience. Simply wear normal gym or yoga clothes, bare feet or socks and bring a towel and water (mats will be provided). Baby can either play in our special play penned Baby Zone or in a stroller or on a mat beside you at our mum and bub sessions. Katie will take you through a series of strengthening exercises performed to gentle music and finish each session with relaxing breathing methods.

A pre-exercise evaluation
Lifestyle & postural self assessment
Strength & flexibility testing & re-testing
10 weeks of progressive sessions (1 per week)
