Mummylicious Fitness brings you our popular and exciting postnatal mat Pilates class. Balanced Body Pilates is a personalised, small group exercise progam for mums. Enjoy a ‘baby free’ evening and focus on yourself to create a healthy mind, body and soul. Each session will target the physiological effects and weaknesses caused by pregnancy and childbirth. Our focus is to help you regain and/or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels through safe and effective Pilates techniques.

What you will achieve:

· Awareness of the pelvic floor muscles and how to properly engage them
· Strengthening of the core muscles to flatten your ‘mummy tummy’
· Sculpt & shaping of the upper & lower body to manage physical demands of motherhood
· Improved posture and muscular balance to alleviate back pain & avoid injury
· Reduced stress through relaxation and breathing methods
· Take home positioning techniques to adapt into your parenting lifestyle

Our program includes:

· A pre-exercise evaluation
· Lifestyle & postural self assessment
· Strength & flexibility testing
· 10 weeks of progressive sessions with a new focus each week (1 per week)
· Final re-testing evaluation

Postnatal trainer Katie will ensure each individual performs the exercises with correct technique and appropriate for their stage (weeks or months) after childbirth. Safe modifications will be taught for commonly encountered muscle and joint related problems associated with pregnancy and childbirth.

Balanced Body is the ultimate stress relieving, total body, low impact workout that will strengthen and tone without loading the joints. All fitness levels are welcome – it’s a program that suits every body!  Get energized, move freely, look better and feel AMAZING.
